Access To Quality Mental Health
Care Is Our Mission

Kendra Cole, LMFT

Many who choose to seek therapy may not be aware of what changes need to be made, they just know “‘something has to change.” I take joy in helping my clients figure out the answer through validation, exploration, and a little bit of humor along the way.

Using a strong systemic foundation, my approach to therapy includes helping clients identify dysfunctional patterns of thoughts and behaviors. My goal is to work alongside you to help foster your ability to communicate, understand and validate yourself and others in order to create lasting change outside of the therapy room. I take pride in creating a relaxed and welcoming space for clients to explore difficult events, daily stressors, emotional struggles, and relationship issues. I truly believe clients are the experts on their own lives, and it is my job as a therapist to build upon the tools and skills you already have, in order to create new meaning and understanding.

About Me:

I earned a BA in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Connecticut and continued my education and training by earning a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Saint Joseph in Hartford, Connecticut. My clinical experience includes working with adolescents in PHP/IOP programs, group, individual, family, and couple therapy. My background also includes populations involved with the DCF system, parent education, perinatal mood disorders, and the treatment of shame. I have additional training in Motivational Interviewing, Circle of Security, Parenting with Cognitive Limitations, and Infant Mental Health. Outside of the office I enjoy hiking, painting, reading, and being a mom.
